However, the team here at World Ford Pensacola can give you an exclusive sneak peek of it with this 2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid preview.*

Check it out below to see how it can help you traverse and tow all over the Pensacola, Crestview, and Fort Walton Beach, FL, areas.

Hello Hybrid: 2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid Efficiency

The F-150 has always been associated with power, off-road capabilities, and tough towing. It is, after all, the truck that’s “built Ford tough.” But now, it’s adding something more efficient to its performance mix.

The all-new 3.5L PowerBoost™ full-hybrid V6 powertrain is designed to give you the practical performance you need without sacrificing any of the power you’ve come to expect out of an F-150. With this setup, the F-150 Hybrid gets up to an EPA-estimated range of around 700 miles on one tank of gas.

Best of all, it’s loaded with performance features to boost efficiency, power, and experience behind the wheel. Some of these features include:

  • Regenerative braking
  • 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission
  • Electric motor integrated into the transmission

Power & Towing

Even though the 2021 F-150 Hybrid does provide top-notch range and fuel economy, it still stays true to its roots as a power-capable pickup–so much so that the hybrid powertrain can generate 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque.

Plus, it’ll be able to tow up to 12,700 pounds when properly equipped. It even comes with drive modes like tow/haul to make your towing adventures easier.

Best of all, the pickup will offer various convenient towing features, including Trailer Reverse Guidance and Pro Trailer Backup Assist™. Using high-resolution cameras, Trailer Reverse Guidance will give you a variety of views and graphics when backing up. It’ll even tell you which way to turn the wheel. Pro Trailer Backup Assist™, on the other hand, makes backing up a trailer easier. All you have to do is turn the dial to the direction you want your trailer to go, and the system can steer it for you.

Pro Power Onboard™ is a class-exclusive feature that’ll turn your truck into a mobile generator. Whether you’re at work sites, campsites, or tailgating, it gives you all the power you need to keep your tools powered up. Just plug into any outlet in the cabin or use the cargo bed-mounted outlets, and you’ll be good to go.

With the F-150 hybrid, you’ll have your choice of output. If you’re planning on plugging in some smaller items, you may want to go with the standard 2.4-kilowatt output. For heavy-duty tools and devices, the optional 7.2-kilowatt output would be best for you.
