2021 Ford Ranger Tremor Preview
The Ford Ranger has already proven itself as a rough and tough pickup ready to tackle any adventure and whatever the road can throw its way. But, for 2021, Ford is making the Ranger even more capable and adventure-ready with the Tremor package.
The 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor may have just been introduced, but it’s already rising in popularity for many drivers around the Pensacola, Crestview, and Fort Walton Beach, FL areas. If you’re interested in learning more, check out this exclusive preview from the team at World Ford Pensacola.
2021 Ford Ranger Tremor: Next-Level Off-Road Metrics
The capable spirit of the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor stems from the fine tuning. With a lifted suspension, redesigned front knuckles, and more rugged tires and wheels, the Tremor package helps the Ranger get 9.7 inches of ground clearance. That’s 0.8 inches more than the base SuperCrew 4×4 trim.
The truck’s off-road metrics will get a little boost, too, with:
- 30.9-degree approach angle
- 25.5-degree departure angle
- 24.2-degree breakover angle
Let’s say you’re planning on traveling through some severe terrain. The FOX™ 2.0 monotube dampers with rear piggyback reservoirs and hydraulic rebound stops will make even the roughest roads feel a little more comfortable. The pickup’s shocks are also specifically designed to ensure optimum control on off-road trails. Plus, the anti-roll bar stiffness has been reduced for a smoother, more comfortable overall performance.
Engine Power & Towing Capability
With great off-road capabilities comes great power and towing. For the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor, power comes from under the hood. Its 2.3L EcoBoost® engine will pump out 270 horsepower and offer a best-in-class 310 lb-ft of gas torque.
That kind of power translates to an available maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. That’s more than enough to bring along boats, bikes, and campers for your next camping trip. Need to move a lot of cargo? Hook up a trailer and load it up! If you need to haul some cargo in the cabin or the bed, the Ranger Tremor will get up to 1,430 pounds of maximum payload.
Furthermore, the powertrain will work directly with a standard 4×4 system with electronic locking differential. The Terrain Management System™ will also be included. With four distinct drive modes and Trail Control™, the system adds confidence to your daily drives no matter if you’re going through gravel or smooth city streets.
New Styling for the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor
Performance and power are the pinnacles of the Ford Ranger Tremor. After all, upon its release, it is slated to be one of the most off-road-capable, factory-built Ranger trims ever offered in the US. However, there is something to be said about its impressive styling.
For 2021, Ford incorporates tons of new styling features for the Ranger Tremor. On the outside, you’ll find special badging on both sides of the cargo box. There will also be an optional hood and body package if you’re interested in customizing the pickup’s rugged and aggressive exterior even further.
Within the cavernous cabin, you’ll find Miko suede inserts on the seats as well as black accents and “Tremor”-stitched seatbacks.
