Ford F-150 Safety Features
To help keep you safe and protected, the interior of the F-150 has many available driver-assisting technologies such as:
- BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage: When a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, the system will send a visual alert in the appropriate side mirror.
- Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking: Scans the road ahead and can detect a possible collision with a vehicle or pedestrian in front of you. If you don’t react in time, the system can apply the brakes automatically.
- Lane-Keeping System: If you start to drift from your lane without using a turn signal, the system keeps a watch on your car and the lane position and issues an alert if it senses you veering out of the lane. If you drift over too many times, a coffee cup icon appears to urge you to take a break.
The truck also has an available 360-degree camera. It uses four cameras in the grille, tailgate, and under each side mirror to show you all sides of your vehicle. It’ll then stitch those images together on the center stack screen.
