Ford Ranger Towing Capacity
The Ford Ranger towing capacity is 7,500 pounds when properly equipped. To achieve this kind of capability, you’ll want to equip your truck with the Trailer Tow Package, which comes with a 4-pin/7-pin wiring harness and Class IV trailer hitch receiver.
Without this equipment, the Ford Ranger can tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds. Ford Ranger Specs
The Ranger is a capable truck that’s powered by an impressive engine. It comes equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 that delivers 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Ford Ranger Interior
The Ford Ranger interior depends on your configuration. If you opt for the SuperCab, you’ll have enough seating for five passengers, including the driver, and a passenger volume of 89.2 cubic feet.
The SuperCrew configuration also seats five but gives rear-seat passengers approximately four inches of additional legroom. This configuration has a passenger volume of 97.6 cubic feet.
Regardless of your cab style, you’ll find the SYNC® Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System inside the cabin. On select trim levels, this includes an 8-inch color touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. These are part of the SYNC® 3 system.
Ford Ranger Trim Levels
You’ll get you choice between three different trim levels with the Ford Ranger. These are:
- XL
- XLT
- LARIAT
The XL is the base-level trim that sets a strong foundation. In addition to the standard engine specs, it comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology, which includes Pre-Collision Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, and a Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist.
